Who We Serve
Disability law is a complex and diverse field. When you’re looking for a disability attorney in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and beyond, you should work with an experienced practitioner who has the experience necessary to help you with your claim.
For over seven years, the law office of Lisa M. Ritacco has been helping individuals in the mid-Atlantic region get the benefits they need to focus on their recovery. With our primary office outside of Media, PA, we are well-positioned to serve clients in Delaware County, PA, Philadelphia or Lancaster, PA, Wilmington, DE, Cherry Hill, NJ and beyond.
What We Do
Ritacco Disability Law provides our clients with assistance with filing the initial application and appeals for the following types of disability claims:
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) — if you’ve contributed enough in payroll taxes over the years, you may be eligible for disability benefits under the SSDI program. SSDI eligibility is based on both having a disability and having a strong work history.
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI) — SSI is a needs-based program that is open to disabled individuals who also have very limited income and assets valued below a certain level. If you don’t have the work history to qualify for the SSDI program, you may still be able to apply for benefits under the SSI program.
Both SSDI and SSI require that you meet the conditions for disability laid out in the SSA’s Blue Book. Disability lawyer Lisa M. Ritacco will help you collect the medical evidence necessary to support your claim and present your case. If you have been previously denied benefits, we can review your case and may be able to get your decision reversed by mounting a formal appeal.
Our Practice Also Includes Workers’ Compensation Law in PA and NJ
If you’ve been injured on the job or suffered a job-related illness, you may be entitled to receive workers’compensation benefits. These benefits can include replacement of lost wages as well as payment of medical expenses. Your survivors may also be entitled to receive benefits in the event that a work-related accident or illness causes your death.
Obtaining workers’ compensation benefits can be difficult, as employers and their insurance carriers typically make every effort to find reasons to deny these claims. A workers’ compensation attorney who is well-versed in this area of law may be able to increase your chances of receiving these essential benefits.
Lisa M. Ritacco is also a licensed workers’ compensation attorney in Pennsylvania. Contact her if you need a knowledgeable workers’ compensation lawyer in Lancaster or Philadelphia, PA, or elsewhere in the state. She also represents individuals on workers’ compensation matters in New Jersey.
She may also be able to assist you with filing an appeal if your initial claim for benefits is denied, as well as navigating the complex appeal process. She may be able to help you with the reinstatement of terminated workers’ comp benefits.
Ritacco Disability Law represents disabled adults, from young adults through those of early retirement age. We provide support in all things related to the SSI and SSDI benefits system, including collecting documentation to strengthen your case and helping you navigate the complex, bureaucratic process of filing your application. We may also help you file an appeal and present your case if you were previously receiving SSDI or SSI benefits and your benefits were cut off.
In some cases, you may be eligible to receive both worker’s compensation and SSDI benefits. As a workers’ compensation lawyer who also has extensive experience in SSDI issues, Lisa M. Ritacco may be able to assist you in obtaining benefits in both areas.
